Charter of the Wilson Woodcarvers Club
PURPOSE: To teach and learn all aspects of the art of woodcarving. To educate the
broader Wilson and Eastern Carolina community about woodcarving. To perform community
services through woodcarving and enjoy the fellowship of those interested in the
art.
MEMBERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
- Annual dues of $30.00 payable in January for existing members
- New member dues of $40.00 payable upon joining. This fee includes a metal name tag.
- Members/visitors under 18 must be accompanied by adult due to safety reasons
- Club meets in the Arts Council facilities, so artwork and individual behaviors must
be appropriate.
- Housekeeping matters.
- Do unto others as you would have done to you.
BOARD OF OFFICERS: President – Chuck Brooks; Jim McGuire, Jr.; Vice President
in Charge of Instruction, and Cindi Mitchell; Vice President/Treasurer; Webmaster
– Chuck Brooks
- Club meets every Tuesday evening at 7:00PM at the Arts Council of Wilson.
- Members have Show and Tell on the 2nd Tuesday of each month
- Club meets quarterly, 2nd Saturday from 8-12AM for Carv-a-Thon at locations to be
announced.
- Instructions on various topics are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month.
Due to time limitations, meetings start promptly at 7 pm
- First 5-10 minutes of evening meetings will consist of club business topics, lead
by the Board of Officers.
- Charter, and Board of Officers, is renewed each October.
